I can't tell what kind of movie it's going to be, I guess. I mean, is it going more towards the supernatural angle or will it be pure love story? Who are they trying to target with the trailer? For someone who was not impressed by the rather very short trailer, you got lots of questions already, I dunno if it somehow tickeld your imagination which I'm sure you'll answer in the negative or you just simply have a lot of questions you wish to get some answers. Twilight readers would have definite answers to those, having read the book and being quite updated almost daily on all levels about the film. /film is not the only movie blog/forum where people are not impressed by what they see. Why are you targeting it out? Why are you purposely writing articles practically telling your readers to go flame it? There is such an elitist attitude in your articles. Aren't we allowed to have our opinion on it? So what if we think it's going to be a turd We're not targetting any site, however, if you could tell me if there is any other 'legitimate' movie sites out there that tend to showcase any debate/discussion of Twilight, let me know. I have been browsing lots of sites myself and frankly, it is only at /film that I got to read those rather nasty remarks. Yeah, of course everyone is entitled to their opinions, as I am also entitled to make an entry on my blog expressing my views, as you have commented too. As for being elitist. If preferring Atonement, The Vintner's Luck or Zodiac over Lord of the Rings and Saw, Hostel, then I'm guilty perhaps. Most of tMF viewers prefer these films and that is the reason why we feature them over the blockbusters, movies already having their lion's share of the online publicity anyway... As for featuring Twilight, we're just trying to satsify what our viewers want. If you receive at least 12 emails a day asking us to feature more and thanking us about our previous Twilight articles, would you not commit to give them another article? Lastly, as for more film features, you apparent failed to see our Wackness film focus, as well as, numerous film features including some amazing films from Scandinavia, France, Germany and Italy. I feel strangely, incredibly offended by this article. I am a regular reader at /film. I am 22 year old single mother with a lot of free time on her hands so I have been indulging in my favourite hobbies as of late, one of which is movies. I love movies, all different kinds and styles. One of the things I love most about movies is that everyone has a different opinion on them. Some movies I love, most people hate. Some movies I hate others love. It's just the way the medium is since we all have different tastes. Another one of my hobbies is reading. I read a lot. I also read all different kinds of fiction. You'll find everything from Leonard Cohen and Charles Dickens to Eragon and Frank Herbert on my bookshelf. Although I have not read Twilight, I have asked several of my friends who have read it and the general consensus was that it was a very fun love story but not a giant literary success. In fact they told me it was incredible how poorly written it was in comparison to other books of the same genre. It's kind of like the difference between Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings, you know? Harry Potter is amazing fun to read, but it doesn't even come close to reaching the literary genius that the Lord of the Rings is. I feel I must defend the readers of /film. You're right, the majority of them have not read Twilight and do not plan on reading it any time soon. That doesn't mean they're evil, it just means that they aren't into that particular genre. That's fine. That also means that when they see the teaser trailer for Twilight the movie, they're basing their opinion souly on that trailer. They have no preconceived ideas or expectations due to reading the book. I have watched the trailer myself several times now. Why? Because, to be honest I felt confused. Why was I confused? I couldn't figure out what it was trying to tell me. Is it a movie about super human vampires? Is it a love story? Is he a creepy stalker? Why are they so pale looking? Why did he hump a deer? When I first came to this site I admit it was because I had wanted to see what it was after the original Twilight post at /film. I have checked back here every once in a while because of your promise to cover more independent movies in detail, which I thought was a wonderful concept. So ummm... why aren't there any articles like that here? All I see is Twilight, mainstream movies, and regurgitated movie news. Why isn't there anything on here about Four Minutes?
