It was a nice surprise to see Kevin do so well in our poll recently, and nice to see Veronique's Kevin Zegers site show their support. Looking forward to seeing us do a featured interview/profile on Kevin!

I believe I've seen Kevin in some of his earlier TV performances, and sometimes didn't really know who he was, but I must say, he really stood out and gave a great performance in Transamerica. I really liked that movie alot, and very true that Felicity was amazing in it. I think I've only seen another one of his earlier films, more of a family type movie called Virginia's Run, where he played a spoiled rich teenager competing in a horse race.

I remember when Transamerica was being promoted, reading how they had to really work to try and downplay Kevin's good looks in the movie, by putting grease in his hair and making him look the part of a male hustler.

I recently discovered the project he's supposedly attached to that you mention called the Light-house, that not long ago Ellen Page was also attached to this same project which also happens to be filming in her own province of Nova Scotia. It seems that she no longer shows she's attached to this on her IMDb page.

For those who may be interested in reading an article interview with Kevin Zegers from a Canadian publication, you can read an excerpt below, and read the full article here: http://www.nowtoronto.com/movies/story.cfm?content=161669
“I’m a huge fan of silent film acting,” he says, sprawled out on a sofa in the Intercontinental Hotel during the Film Festival. “Or look at someone like Johnny Depp, whose face says so much. I’m not the best talker in the world, but I think I project the way I’m feeling through my eyes and face.”

“Ryan [Gosling] is doing what I want to do,” he tells me afterwards. “He’s a smart dude and doesn’t give a shit about what anyone else wants him to do. I like that about him.”

He pauses and reflects on his strong pack of acting peers. “Look at Ryan or Joseph Gordon-Levitt or Emile Hirsch,” he says. “I’ve lost out on jobs to some of them and got jobs that they were after. The quality of young actors is really rising now. Who knows who’s going to be the next Jack Nicholson or Sean Penn? Let’s start applauding the young guys who are blazing their own paths now.”
It appears that Kevin hasen't made his mark sort of speak in any other film(s), as he did in Transamerica, but I think its only a matter of time that he does with his new crop of upcoming films. - Jan

I first noticed him in "Transamerica", which was a wonderful movie. Elle is right, Felicity Huffman was amazing and I personally think she was robbed at the Oscars, but that's a different story really.

So, I was glad I came to appreciate Kevin Zegers by seeing "Transamerica". Since then I've seen him in several other "teen projects" which weren't that gorgeous... But I always knew -thanks to "Transamerica"- that he was capable of handling challenging roles and being part of good movies.

I'm so looking forward to "The Jane Austen Book Club" and obviously there are many other movies to look forward to as well. It's great to have another promising actor with a pretty face out there. ;) - Rina

I loved Transamerica, but when I think of it now, I remember Felicity Huffman rather than her/his son... glad to be reminded of who played him in that movie - and he did a fantastic job. That movie stayed with me a long time afterwards... - Elle
