For those online publication who like to gain more traffic by writing nasty, unsubstantiated reports, shame on you!

The above post certainly put everyting in order. Its dissapointing that some sites would do anything to get traffic and gain more from their google adsense! Get some life and tell us more of the truth! - Jed

Good to read this. Mr. Gosling is a professional and it\'s nice he took his time to comment on something as \"unspectacular\" as this.

Apparently, \"creative differences\" don\'t have to be of nasty origins. But unfortunately plain stories like this don\'t sell... :roll - Rina H.

Gosling Comments About \'Bones\'!
Culture Pop - Your Celebrity Questions, Answered Daily

Q. Did Lord of the Rings guru Peter Jackson fire Ryan Gosling just before filming was to start on The Lovely Bones?

A. Gosling did indeed leave the production based on the hugely popular bestselling novel. His role as the father of missing Susie Salmon now goes to Mark Wahlberg. Gossip reports have thrown out an avalanche of rumors about his departure, ranging from he was \"too difficult\" for Jackson to work with to the twenty pounds he gained for the role made him look too fat.

Ryan wasn’t hiding behind a \"no comment\" when I asked what really happened. \"I think, people are making it a far more interesting story than it actually is,\" he says. \"The age of the character versus my real age was always a concern of mine. Peter and I tried to make it work and ultimately it just didn’t. I think the film is much better off with Mark Walhberg in that role. Peter Jackson is an incredible filmmaker and I’m here to tell you that he has things up his sleeve that are going to blow peoples’ minds. I’m going to be the first person in line to buy tickets.\"

As for the report that he was difficult to work with, Gosling says, \"The media always slant things in a negative direction. If somebody said I was easy to work with, they’d make that sound bad, too.\"

In the meantime, Ryan is basking in the good buzz surrounding Lars and the Real Girl—no objectivity here—it’s one of my favorite films of the year. Go see it before everyone tells you about it.

Of course, I asked him what\'s next and got a very sincere \"haven’t decided!\" —

Irritative!

\"Creative differences\" always sound like some kind of mudslinging took place before the work relationship ended. We can only speculate here, that\'s true.

I don\'t know Ryan Gosling long enough to comment on his professional behaviour really, but I admire him as an actor and I appreciate the work he did in his movies.

I always saw Edward Norton as a creative and professional actor/director and reading about the differences with Kaye irritative me. Mr. Norton does not sound like a person who only wants to increase his screentime withtout keeping the whole movie in mind, and I generally trust him and his work.
I gotta say that I love \"American History X\" the way it is, but I do not know the version Kaye had in mind.

So, yeah, creative differences are irritative. One does not know the true motives and so it might be not be understandable for the audience.

It\'s sad we won\'t see Gosling in this movie, but I\'m sure we\'ll see him in other great one. ;) - Rina H.

I still want Ryan!

I think you have a point there, and a number of online pubs have already made comments and started making assumptions.

The New York Post, not a really reliable paper, but quite popular with the gossipy crowd says:
Peter couldn’t stand Ryan,’ said one source. Though Variety reported that Gosling had “stepped down” and was replaced by Mark Wahlberg, our source said, ‘Ryan cut his own hair, and was fighting with wardrobe. He was so demanding . . . Peter booted him two days before filming started.
I find this pathetic and lacks the kind of credibility reserved for the more reputable newspapers. Its sad what people will do in order to maintain an audience. Its plain crap, IMO.

There is already a discussion from one of the more high-density sites like slashfilms, where most of the post are quite amusing to say the least. Says /film, quoting the LA Times:
Jackson was still expecting some movie star allure — not paunch and a beard.
While Mark Wahlberg is a good, credible actor, I also think that Ryan Gosling can add a certain charisma to the film.

I also don\'t agree with this opinion:
Gosling is a great actor, with a lot of potential, but it seems like he’s letting the critical acclaim get to his head. A director directs, and an actor acts.
Its sad to assume that Ryan would simply become self-conscious of his becoming \'critically acclaimed\' and demand more say with the making of a film. For one, the guy is quite a private person and while he does speak his mind, I think the opportunity to work with Peter Jackson is something any good actor would look forward to.

There can be no conclusion to this unless their official announcement of \'creative differences\' is further explained. Anyway, it would be LOVELY to see Ryan in another quality film soon! - Admin

I loved this story so much but I must confess I had trouble envisioning Ryan in the role of the father from the start, maybe because he is so much younger than the character in the book. I\'m guessing here, but that dad has to be at least in his early 40s or so. Mark Wahlberg at 36 is almost ten years older than Ryan, who is 26. Maybe the fatted-up, bearded Ryan didn\'t age enough for PJ, who is a director who usually makes really good choices! Remember the same thing happened with LOTR, when Viggo replaced a younger man AFTER filming started, and what a triumph that turned out to be! - LA Bennett
