He is a very talented and versatile actor and I was VERY happy that they chose him to portray Edward. In my opinion no one else could have done it as much justice. I do have to say that I absolutely love him as Daniel in [i]The Bad Mother's Handbook[/i]. He made the character akwardly loveable and awesome. This article was great and really doing him justice. Of course he's going to be great in Twilight, but there's more about him than just this one role and his really good looks.
