In Heartless, he's a young man with a large heart-shaped birthmark on his face, who soon discovers that there are demons on the streets of East London. Yup, he never duplicates his roles and you can see for yourself the diversity of the films he made in such a short span of time.

But before the roles I've mentioned, it was in Across the Universe that Jim Sturgess first entered the scene. Apparently, there's no stopping Jim from becoming today's most sought-after actor. Even Film journalist and critic Anne Thompson is starstruck!

If you're going to ask me, right this minute, who's gonna get the #1 ranking at the Top 50 Hitlist, I'll say Jim Sturgess! But then again, how about James McAvoy or the current frontrunner, Joseph Gordon Levit? Both are also hugging the spotlight, as Jim. Anyway, you'll soon find out!

Critical Acclaim + New Movie: With two of his most recent films - Fifty Dead Men Walking and Heartless - already receiving rave reviews, there is apparently more good news for Jim Sturgess. Cinemablends' Perri Nemiroff made the following comments regarding Sturgess new movie called Upside Down.

Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst make an awkward couple. I'm a fan of Across the Universe and even though 21 isn't a quality film, Sturgess still shows he's harboring major potential. On the other hand, Dunst is still as washed out as when she sported Mary Jane's red locks in the Spider-Man movies. [ read more ]

I agree with Nemiroff in his assessment of Sturgess and Dunst. I have absolutely 100% confidence in Jim's ability to deliver the goods, so to speak. But I also think Dunst may not be up to the challenge. They were supposed to play a complicated relationship - Jim's character has an enduring love for Dunst's. Apparently, there are no fresh faces in Hollywood good enough to team up with Sturgess?
