Larry Richman recently announced on PROnetworks the casting of Jesse Eisenberg and Michael Angarano in Jason Reitman's new movie, Ceremony (formerly entitled The Wedding): In this surefire comedy hit, a woman is about to be married to her British suitor when an infatuated young admirer (Jesse Eisenberg) attempts to break up the wedding. He enlists his best friend (Michael Angarano) in the mission. Additional cast members are to be announced. Production begins later this year with a projected 2010 release date. [ read more ] - - -
- - - What makes this quite interesting, especially to Twilight fans and to fans of Kristen Stewart, is her personal and professional connection with the two guys - she plays opposite Eisenberg in the recently shown Adventureland (which garnered many rave reviews!) while Angarano happens to be her boyfriend. I'm pretty sure I'll get corrected with regards to the status of their relationship soon! Excuse me for getting a bit personal on the actors, my apologies! There's some background why... I'm in the middle of finalizing tMF's profile of Kristen Stewart, and Larry's post via Twitter made me realize her co-star Jesse Eisenberg is one busy young man! I'm quoting Eisenberg to begin Kristen's profile! (Guess, what Jesse said about the young actress?) Eisenberg is supposed to be in another movie called Zombieland. Says ReelzChannel: Jesse Eisenberg's last movie, Adventureland, saw him romancing Twilight's Kristen Stewart. Hopefully, Stewart's stories of the undead prepared Eisenberg for his next project, Zombieland. The comedy finds Eisenberg teaming up with Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone (Superbad and the upcoming Sucker Punch), and Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) on a cross-country trip of survival in a world overrun with zombies. [ read more ] And then while googling, I chanced upon this article: Michael Cera and his puny peers are everywhere on screen by Christopher Borreli: Michael Cera is far from alone in his scrawny zero-charisma stardom. Indeed, I had the strangest conversation with my girlfriend. We were talking about "Adventureland," and she told me how much she liked Michael Cera. I told her Michael Cera was not in "Adventureland." - - -
- - - "He was," she said. "No, you're thinking of Jesse Eisenberg," I said. Turns out she's not alone - confusing Michael Cera with other lilting man-boy actors of the moment is a concern. And since you have too much going on in your life to know which actor is Michael Cera, here's a cheat sheet [ read more ] Just let me add this one: On Jesse Eisenberg- Why he’s not Michael Cera: More geared toward drama than comedy. His hair is generally curlier. His default expression is less panic than bemusement. - - - I don't know if you find it amusing or funny, but from my perspective, I think I both did. However, I'm not a fan of Mr. Cera, but I am a big big fan of Jesse Eisenberg and find Michael Angarano to be one of today's most under-rated young actors, but he certainly has lots of talent! Oh, Jesse's photo is from The Squid and The Whale, while I found Michael Cera's photo on the net, and used it for the sake of comparison. What's on your mind? Are you a fan of Jesse Eisenberg, Michael Cera and Michael Angarano? Which movies of the guys are your favorites? Let us know what you think! - - - |
