Welcome!

On behalf of the team, welcome to the How To Be Promotional Blitz site!

Let us tell you about the site.  Initiated by tMF (the Movie-Fanatic), this promotional site is the work of volunteers who aim to provide a much-needed buzz for filmmakers Oliver Irving and Justin Kelly initial movie offering, How To Be.

With a cast that includes Robert Pattinson, Rebecca Pidgeon, Jeremy Hardy, Johnny White Mike Pearce and Powell Jones, the movie is a comedy about Arthur, a twenty something who moves back in with his parents, hits a quarter-life crisis and enlists the help of a self-help guru.  It's a timely look at the increasingly common phenomena of grown-up children living at home, frustrated creativity and self help.

In the Independent Film world, we know that sometimes these wonderful films don't always get the recognition and distribution they deserve. However, in doing a little research I found that occasionally fans can help remedy this.

The popularity of Robert Pattinson is undeniable. As one of the leads in the upcoming Twilight movie, fans of the Stephenie Meyer book just can't get enough of him. While his role as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series was the first time he created lots of buzz, serious fans are carefully looking at his other movie roles and finding out for themselves if he really is a good actor.

poster bedtMF was able to secure an interview with the filmmakers of one of Robert's upcoming movies, How To Be. The producer of the film, Justin Kelly, and director Oliver Irving provided us with more insights into the making of the film, but also made some interesting comments about the cast and in particular, about Robert Pattinson, who plays the lead role in the film. This is one of my favorite parts of the interview (an answer from Oliver Irving):

Rob definitely comes alive when the cameras roll, though. His performances were always heightened by pressure - he would often in rehearsals say – OK, it's not right now, but I know what is needed and I’ll get it on the day.

This took an awful lot of faith in him but he was pretty much true to his word.

Below, you'll see the transcripts of the two interviews:
