James McAvoy and Keira Knightley represent the new breed of artists working in cinema today. Armed with good looks and amazing acting talent, both started making waves in critically-acclaimed indie films. In Atonement, McAvoy and Knightley play new-found lovers Robbie and Cecilia, but their love is destined for tragedy… - - -
- - - This will be Keira’s second outing with Joe Wright, who also directed the fascinating and delightful ‘Pride and Prejudice’. McAvoy, who is one of today’s busiest actors, was recently seen in Starter for Ten, and will soon appear in a number of high-profile projects including Becoming Jane and Penelope. - - - The decision to open the 64th edition with Atonement, the second film directed by Joe Wright (his first being Pride and Prejudice), confirms the pioneering vocation of the Venice Film Festival and its ability to work as a true 'talent scout' festival. Intercepting the most innovative developments in the film world as and when they happen, and revealing the new trends and currents in contemporary cinema, the Festival discovers and presents the protagonists of cinema of the future. Atonement will be released in UK on 14th September, in Italy on 21st September and in the US on the 7th December. Universal Pictures International distributes the film internationally. - - -

Screenwriting for Hollywood is that unique blog that is filled with so many interesting and wonderful articles. What a perfect description from the blog's owner, Jaden: "Raw, sexy, sassy articles explore screenwriting, Hollywood, and life. The SfH website and services are geared to help people sell screenplays to Hollywood, while also encouraging an independent positive spirit."
If you own a blog or a site about movies and actors, be our guest! Tell us more about it!
tMF is part of this exciting group of movie blogs! Visit the LAMB and join!
The Large Association of Movie Blogs has arrived on the scene, and is intended for all audiences.
For movie blog readers: rather than hunting through Google or through any number of blog directories and/or blogrolls looking for a site that fits your liking, this is your one-stop shop. Read up on the latest sites: who's behind them, what their focus is, their goals and what you can expect when visiting.
For movie bloggers: this is a place for your blog to be spotlighted, in its own feature post, for all to see. Additionally, the LAMB is a community of film bloggers, some like you and proably some totally unlike you. We regularly have events and blog-a-thons, from our LAMB Devours the Oscars series to Plot Farms to our annual awards, The LAMMYS.
