Every Monday, tMF gives you a rundown on who's making the biggest buzz among the current crop of young talents, based on the hottest news about upcoming movies, awards and nominations, magazine covers and interviews, and special appearances on festivals, talk shows and upcoming TV series or just from anything that make fans more excited about movies! [ Note: I skipped last week's weekly top 3 for the simple reason that tMF launched the Top 50 Hottest Young Actors. Now that the articles have been posted and commented on by lots of viewers, it's time to get back to the weekly top 3! ] - - -
The Buzz: With two new movies on his sleeves, Rupert is going big-time! Fans are definitely on the look out for the new Harry Potter movies next year, but Grint is not relaxing a bit, his two new features Cherrybomb and Wild Target will surely keep him busy this year and the next! Here's one of the latest interview conducted by MTV for Rupert:
- - -
Capturing the second spot for the first time is Shia Labeouf. With half a mil salary, Labeouf is definitely enjoying a career high. Recent incidents seem to highlight how much people are interested in getting to read news about the young actor. The Buzz: His latest movie Eagle Eye just reached the $50 million mark at the box office. While a lot of the critics lambasted the movie, still Shia manages to show his Box Office appeal and power to bring in the audience! Way to go Shia! What we said a few weeks back and still applies today: Perhaps some of the more serious fans have watched LaBeouf's older and better movies- A Guide to Recognizing your Saints, Holes, The Greatest Game Ever Played. I mean the guy can act. It would be sad to relegate him into predictable, formulaic movies that you'll automatically forget once you leave the theater. The good news now is that he's about to do a rather intriguing character in Dark Fields. We recently blogged him on this new flick from filmmaker Neil Burger, the same guy who gave us Edward Norton's The Illusionist. In this new movie Shia is to play "an intellectual slacker and former cocaine addict". It goes deeper and darker when Labeouf's character discovered he's in possession of a new drug, with some very curious effects. I think the role is perfect for him. - - -
The Buzz: A lot of buzz actually. Let me list down why he's the hottest young actor right this minute. First, he's number 1 at tMF's Hottest Young Actors list. Second, he just won his first Best Actor award at the Strasbourg International Film Festival! Third, he just got another award this time from Yahoo Movies! Here's more:
Finally, tMF just launched its very own promotional blitz site for his awesome movie, How To Be. To visit the site click here! Oh, and another thing, quite important for tMF. We're launching Rob's exclusive profile featuring a rundown of his movies, personal tidbits and review quotes and a lot more. Stay tuned! It's going to be quite a week! - - -

Its good to see such talented young actors getting noticed more and more! Congrads to Mr Pattinson for the awards, they are well desirved, he is way to amazing of an actor to not be rewarded! He may only be 22 years old but he has the soul and skills of someone much older! A new age James Dean in my eyes, and coming from me I dont compare nothing/nobody to James Dean.

Wow, I guess I'd better take another look at Rupert Grint! I've only seen him in the HP franchise, and was quite underwhelmed (except for the last one-he finally started to look comfortable in that one). I trust your judgement, Jed
!-I mean, look who's at #1!

I just saw Eagle Eye this weekend, I've enjoyed watching Shia's rise eversince Even Stevens...
I know that Robert is going to be in Twilight, but I'm rather interested in seeing How To Be, which I didn't even know anything about until I read about it here, so thanks for that. However, I am ESPECIALLY happy that your site has chosen to profile Rupert Grint. I've been a fan of his since I saw him in the first Harry Potter film. I've seen all of his movies and I know that he has the talent to take him beyond Potter. I look forward to seeing Cherrybomb and Wild Target and I hope that others come to appreciate his talent has I have.

ROB PATTINSON Deserves the Buzz
After winning his first international best actor award and exciting fans by playing at Whisky A Go Go, Rob adds another star to his already glowing career as an actor. He will be awarded the New Hollywood Award at the end of October. I think he deserves not only this award but the top spot in this week's buzz worthy. We should expect great things from Mr. Spunk Ransom.

Great top three this week! I think all three deserve the buzz they are currently getting. I especially love Rupert Grint and can't wait to see just how talented he really is. (I think he's the best of the Harry Potter "kids" and has been pushed into the background for far too long.) I like Shia and Rob too, very talented and hardworking guys. Again, great choices!

Rupert!
Thank you so much for recognizing Rupert Grint. He's consistently fulfilled all the promise he showed when he first graced the screen as Ron Weasley. I love the Harry Potter films, but I can't wait to see what else is in store for this wonderfully talented young actor.
Congratulations as well to Shia Labeouf and Rob Pattinson, particularly to Shia who held his own alongside a long time favorite of mine, Harrison Ford. Great Top 3, TMF!

The Year of the GRINT
Thanks for featuring Rupert. He is a great actor and seems to be a very nice person as well. I would appreciate having his profile here at TMF. He makes his fans all over the globe so proud of him with the way he conducts himself. He is a very good role model to the youth and he deserves the recognition. I am positive that 2009 will be his year
after all, you can't deny talent, " If you got it, you got it" and Rupert Grint definitely is it.
,
October 06, 2008
...
I agree with the choice of Rupert Grint and think you will be mentioning him much more in the future. Aside from his Harry Potter role, he has shown his acting skills that seem to be missed by the masses. Driving Lessons was a wonderful seque to the soon to be release Cherrybomb and the now filming Wild Target.

Robert Pattinson
ONCE AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS ROBERT. It's amazing, how much recognition he gained in mere months. Phenomenon is the right word to describe what he went through this year.
,
October 07, 2008

Great top 3!
Rob at #1 is well deserved in light of his second win, now for the Hollywood Awards. 'New Hollywood' they've called him, and I can agree with that. But he won't be 'new' for long... Very much looking forward to his future career...
