Kimmy is 15 years old and is owner/creator of the popular Twilight site His Golden Eyes. A music lover and at the same time quite active in sports (she's in her school's swim team), Kimmy has this to say about her Twilight site's ever-growing popularity:

I started this website as a free web site, and after the number of hits started to rise I decided to get a domain name. I am very surprised how successful it has become, thanks to all our fans!

Our interview follows...

When did you first read Stephenie's Twilight? How would you sum up your feelings and reactions after finishing the book?

I read Twilight around half a year before Eclipse came out, and I rushed back to the store the day after I finished Twilight to buy New Moon. I actually wasn't introduced to it by anyone, I had a Copperfield's gift certificate and grabbed Twilight because I thought the cover looked interesting.

As a teen, which of the characters do you identify the most? Of the many Twilight characters, who among them do you really admire? How about the ones you dislike or find annoying? How do you find the development of the lead characters?

I identify with Bella the most, because she is close to my age and seems so human. She has her weaknesses, like being clumsy, but she ends up going on this amazing adventure. I love how all girls can see part of themselves in Bella.
The character I dislike most is Jessica, because she is just like all those popular girls at school, who are good friends for a while but end up turning their backs on you.

I admire Edward the most, because he risks everything for the person he loves. He is so kind and so perfect.

The character development in the books is amazing, especially for Edward. At first he seems too mysterious and unpleasant, but throughout the book you grow to love him more and more.

Are there certain questions you have about these characters that remain unanswered to this day?

Mainly my questions are about how Edward feels at certain parts of the story. That is why I am so excited for Midnight Sun!

What's your favorite passages in Twilight? Why?

I love the meadow scene. It sums up Edward and Bella's feelings for each other, and Edward's struggle to not hurt her. It is a very powerful part of the story, and I absolutely adore the quote:

"So the lion fell in love with the lamb."
"What a stupid lamb."
"What a sick, masochistic lion."

If you can tell Stephenie Meyer something about her work or something altogether unrelated to her books, but something you simply want to express, what would it be?

I would just thank her for the amazing world she created.

For you personally, why did the book affect you in such a way that you were compelled to seek out other readers and eventually become one active Twilight fan who actively participates in boards and the likes?

It is such a beautiful love story, and Bella is so human that you can see yourself in her shoes. Edward is every girl's dream boyfriend, and when you read the book you can imagine that it is you in the relationship. I searched for Twilight on the internet, and I realized that there were lots of other people like me who love the story. It is a lot of fun to talk about it with other people who enjoy it too.

Do you think all these fans will go to the movies to watch the film? It seems that the film company (Summit Entertainment) that is now financing the movie gambled their money and entered a risky venture…?

I expect that the Twilight Movie will earn a lot of money. When I go to my website, there are sometimes more than 500 people online at once, all eagerly waiting for news. So many people are excited for this film, I think that movie theaters everywhere will be sold out on December 12th.
