Last year saw the tremendous success of some book to movie adaptations, among the big winners: Cormac McCarthy's No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood (from Sinclair Lewis' Oil!), Ian McEwan's Atonement, Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner, Dennis Lehane's Gone Baby Gone and Jean-Dominique Bauby's memoir The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. - - -
- - - After the popular Top 50 Hottest Young Actors, we've decided to come up with a new top 50 list. This time we looked into some of the most exciting new movies for 2008 and beyond. For this year, we are already excited with some upcoming movies (also based on books)- Philippa Gregory's The Other Boleyn Girl and Steven Gould's Jumper. But there are more, much more! AND we have them here, 50 of them! We have thrillers and horror, coming-of-age, fantasy and adventure, classics, romantic novels, crime and drama. Some of them are currently 'works in progress' and soon to be released, while some are still at the stage of being optioned by various extremely excited filmmakers and producers. Shades of Darkness, Shades of Grace written by Chrissy, February 18, 2008
I just love reading books and picture it on the big screen. I just recently read one called Shades of Darkness, Shades of Grace. It's a true story about a relationship that quickly deteriorates after the wife was caught in a bundle of lies and manipulation - with a horrible past that caught up with her real quick. I think a lot of people could relate with this novel, as it is a true story - I purposely look for true stories because they're always the best ones!

It would seem hard to talk about Casey Affleck without mentioning his brother Ben or vice versa. The brothers have been the subject of many articles - from their looks and their relationships to Ben’s decision to cast his brother in Gone Baby Gone and the completely different career paths both guys took on: Casey remained oblivious to the glamour and glitz of Hollywood, while Ben adjusted to the glare of being in the spotlight.
