Fansites are supposed to be in fierce competition, even its owners/webmasters are involved in nasty rivalries. That's the basic premise I have learned to accept eversince I started operating tMF. Based on my experience dealing with webmasters that promote certain celebrities and from experiences of certain members of the tMF team. - - -
- - - Why is that, you might asked? Perhaps it's the need to feel secure and the continued perception that the celebrity is truly grateful only to one site and to no other... Take the case of Heath Ledger. If you're not privy to what's been going on before his death, you might be surprised at how much controversies the different fansites have been involved in. But before I continue with this already 'off-topic' commentary, let me just say that the way the many Twilight sites have been dealing with each other, all I can say is that they're all AMAZING. There maybe rivalries in different levels- outscooping each other for news, securing interviews, posting the latest photos, but there is this camaraderie- a sort of belonging to one big family- that prevail within these sites. And with numbers come the power to change. ( I'm sure these sites will be involved in future campaigns and would successfully mobilize their members to achieve certain goals.) Here are the top 3 Twilight sites we @tMF admire and enjoy: [ in no particular order ]: - - -
Probably the biggest Twilight dedicated site on the net, The Twilight Lexicon is more than just a news and resource site. It serves in an official capacity to cater to the needs of all Twilight fans. Offering updated info on Meyer's Vampiric characters, including discussions of the Author's books (chapter by chapter) and its peculiar terminology, the Lexicon is arguably one of Twilight's most authoritative websites.
And now, the Lexicon fills this gap and offers much more. - - -
With more than 3800 registered users and an average daily post of 1,259, the forum at Twilight Moms is truly a wonderful Twilight community. Someone from tMF joined a number of these Twilight boards, and we have observed that some of them have issues with management and organization, but not this forum. With such diverse topics and with so many members posting almost at the same time, it takes more than willpower and patience to prevail, but we salute the Admins at Twilight Moms for operating a true Twilight community, and they even outscooped some of the other Twilight sites! Oh, and when it comes to some of the most thought-provoking and intelligent discussions, go to this forum and you'll find what you're looking for. - - -
That seems to be the case almost all the time. There are of course, a lot of other sites dedicated to Ms. Meyer's books, and we enjoy visiting them too, but these are our top 3 favorites.

More power!
Hi Nicky from 'His Golden Eyes'! You're most welcome! We're very serious when we selected the final 3, and while there are a number of incredible sites which failed to make the tally, we're quite confident we made a good decision based not only on our instinct but also judging by the comments from Twilight fans themselves, so more power!

Definitely one of the best!
Hi Cocoa! tMF admires the kind of dedication and energy you and the Lexicon team have made in order to come up with an amazing news and resource site such as the Twilight Lexicon. It's no easy thing to compile, organize, summarize and interpret (even) Ms. Meyer's work and to always come up with updates and new articles is quite amazing. We salute you!

I Love Twilight Lexicon
tMF you've got great taste in Twilight Fan sites! I want to shout out my thanks to the Twilight Lexicon. Besides the up-to-date news, comprehensive character bios and mythology discussions, I love the personnel correspondences from the author. To me, the Lexicon is just another book in the series.
I also love the community inside the Lexicon. I've found lifetime friends because of this site.
