For sometime now, we have been reading, enjoying and celebrating the online journal of the very talented young actor named Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Yes, Joe Levitt has a journal and if you don't know it yet, then you are missing a lot. If you love the guy and admire his work, then you have to read his journal and get to know more of the man, the actor. - - - - - - Here's an except, something to do with DIRECTING. Yes and yes! He might be planning to direct a movie. Think Sean Penn. Think Clint Eastwood. Think Gael Garcia Bernal... He has always been vocal and quite opinionated, and yeah, aggressive! (and he mentioned one great novelist, the incomparable Elmore Leoard!)

Like you Jed, I too have been following Joe's great website and his journals on many occassions. I just think it is so great to see such a talented and well known actor like Joe, be so interested in having and being involved in his own website. I've read in many of his recent interviews, how passionate he speaks about his website. It would be neat to see other accomplished actors interested in being personally involved with their website. We've noticed firsthand from the most recent article in Variety, showing proof that actors and celebrities are involving themselves more with fans and websites--via their own, or other sites.
This is exciting news to hear, from Joe's journal that it sounds like he is in the process of working on directing his own short film. He is so talented, smart, and wise beyond his years, that I know like he said in his own words, "were all gonna love it"! Also, just to showcase how talented Joe really is at making short movies....Check out his artsy short movie on his website entitled, ESCARGOTS (translation in English, SNAILS). It is my understanding I believe, that surprisingly, it is actually Joe's own speaking voice reading the particular french poem! Amazing!! For those who may be interested in the short story Joe is speaking about, below is an Amazon link to an excerpt of Sparks, the short story by Elmore Leonard. EXCERPT OF SHORT STORY BY ELMORE LEONARD ENTITLED, " SPARKS " Source: Amazon.com
