- - - Considered as one of the most highly-anticipated films this year, Across the Universe is the story of Jude (Jim Sturgess), Lucy ( Evan Rachel Wood) and Max (Joe Anderson) as they struggle and survive America in the turbulent 1960s. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Julie Taymor, the film is an original musical love story based on the Beatles' songs from a screenplay by Ian La Frenais and Dick Clement. Updates! Bono From U2 Plays a Doctor!
I had heard about this movie in my cyber travels, and thought it looked really good--and I especially like that the actors sing in this. Trailer looks great and the music sounds great as well.
Quite a nice surprise to see from IMDb, that Bono will be in this as well. Love the underwater pic above as well. This will be released next month. Hope some of tMF visitors and staff get to see this, and give us a review. Thanks Jed for doing a feature on this movie.
